Julia Montes is among the many local celebrities who are mourning the death of veteran actress Susan Roces who passed away at the age of 80 on May 20.
Julia, who starred with Susan on FPJ's Ang Probinsyano and the teleseryes Walang Hanggan in 2012 and Muling Buksan Ang Puso in 2013, shared handwritten letters from the actress as she wrote a touching tribute posted on Instagram on May 21.
"One of the few handwritten letters from you," Julia's post reads. "Hinding-hindi ko po makakalimutan lahat ng kuwento ninyo at advices sa buhay at sa buhay pag-ibig. Mga magandang alala ninyo ni Sir FPJ (Fernando Poe Jr.) na binabahagi ninyo bilang aral. Mga kuwento na hindi ko akalain bibiyayaan po ako ng pagkakataon na mapakinggan.
Julia shared several memories she has with the actress, including a time when Susan said that when their rambutan tree bears fruit, it reminds her of Julia. She also said that Susan gifted her a CD that contained the song “Greatest Love of All”, with Julia adding, “Sabi ninyo sa akin huwag na huwag kong kakalimutan ang kantang yan. Ngayon lalong hinding-hindi ko po yun makakalimutan.”
Before ending her post, Julia wrote, “Huwag po kayong mag-alala, lahat po ng mga turo ninyo ay hindi mawawala sa aking puso at patuloy na gagawin… Salamat po sa masasayang alala at magagandang aral… Mahal na mahal ka po namin, hanggang sa muli po.”
