It's been two years since Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz started dating, and the spark in them just never fades away! The two first met in 2018. At the time, they were only colleagues and Rayver was a returning Kapuso. As they both can sing, dance, and also act, the two have shared several performance stages together.
In an interview with PEP in July 2023, Julie Anne once recalled how she hit up a conversation with Rayver during the first time that they were rehearsing for their first stage together. She wanted to make Rayver feel welcomed within a rehearsal studio. "Tapos nagpakilala ako sa kanya. Bagong lipat siya noon. And then yun yung unang beses na magkakasama kami sa isang number. And then apart from the opening number, we were also doing another number, pero like, kaming dalawa lang yung magkasama," she recalls.
From then on, the two connected so well even beyond work and became best friends. The romance for them was a natural thing. It wasn't forced and it wasn't something they thought of during their friendship. It just so happened that they were slowly falling in love with each other.
More than that, the two are just in sync. In fact, Julie Anne even sees Rayver as the guy version of herself! Rayver said in the same interview, "'Yung humor namin, yung mga kuwentuhan, parang swak lahat." In approval, Julie Anne admitted,"Yeah, saka parang how we are as people, I guess, kung siguro may lalaking version ko, siguro si Ray yun."
So, we think no one can deny the fact that they are really in sync with everything! Their lovestagram says so. On and off-cam, Julie Anne and Rayver have also been very open about their sweetness, their chemistry, and their love for each other. ICYDK, last April 2024 the couple was part of the entourage of the "Sparkle Goes To Canada"—and they were such a cute couple together onstage and during their free time!
This time around, the couple will be joining the "Sparkle World Tour" in Anaheim and San Francisco, California. Together with other Sparkle stars Isko Moreno, Boobay, Alden Richards, and Ai-ai delas Alas. They will have back-to-back shows on August 9 at the City National Grove of Anaheim, and on August 10, at the South San Francisco High School Auditorium.
