K-pop singer Chungha is now under quarantine after one of her staff members tested positive for coronavirus, or COVID-19.
Soompi reported that Chungha and her staff came from a scheduled activity in Italy on February 24. Upon their return to South Korea, the staff member showed symptoms of COVID-19.
Chungha’s agency, MNH Entertainment said that Chungha and the personnel that accompanied her to the trip have gone into self-isolation and underwent tests. While one staff member tested positive, the agency said they will take the appropriate action for it.
A part of the statement reads: “All the other staff members tested negative, and Chungha also tested negative on March 1. Based on the results of the test, they will go into self-isolation as requested by [the] Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
The agency has also canceled all of Chungha’s scheduled activities.
The singer, who was previously part of the girl group I.O.I., was scheduled to appear at a music festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.
