Here's Kathryn Bernardo coming through, everyone! Kathryn was awarded the "Outstanding Asian Star" at the Seoul International Drama Awards on September 22, Thursday. The Seoul International Drama Awards is an annual award ceremony that takes place in Seoul, South Korea.
Kathryn was given the "Outstanding Asian Star" award for her role in the hit TV series, 2 Good 2 Be True. Looking as ethereal as ever, Kathryn received the award and gave the most heartwarming speech in front of an international crowd.
She expressed her love for the show, narrating how it was more than a project for her, but more of an advocacy and appreciation for the healthcare industry.
"I fell in love with this project because of its unique storyline. It’s always been more than just about sharing a love story with our audience, but also about spreading awareness on Alzheimer’s Disease and educating people about those who struggle with it and how we can offer them the best support they need," the phenomenal actress stated.
"So this project made me appreciate our nurses and our healthcare workers. So it was really more than another TV show for me," she added.
Of course, Kathryn extended her utmost gratitude and love for her the whole team of 2 Good 2 Be True including Daniel Padilla and Ronaldo Valdez.
Most importantly, the new Outstanding Asian Artist awardee offered her achievement to her fans who have been giving their unwavering support to her. "To my fans, this (award) is for you."
Kathryn sincerely thanked the award-giving body for giving her the opportunity to represent Filipino talent internationally. "This means so much to me. From the bottom of my heart, maraming, maraming salamat po," she said.
Wearing Martin Bautista for the night, Kathryn also had a spectacular moment walking the event's red carpet. The hosts even called her an "angel" for her look!
In a post-red carpet interview with MJ Felipe, Kathryn described how nervous she was before walking the red carpet, but was later on replaced by fun and happiness after seeing Filipino supporters at the event.
"I was nervous kasi walang nag-assist going down, but then as I was walking nakita ko kasi ibang Filipinos cheering. Ang saya lang na they were also there," she told MJ.

Right after giving her acceptance speech, the A Very Good Girl star took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank her fans once again for their constant support: "This is for you, this is for us. From the bottom of my heart, maraming maraming salamat po. [white heart emoji]"

Hi, good evening everybody. My name is Kathryn Bernardo and I’m a Filipina actress. When I initially found out about this nomination and recognition for my craft by such an esteemed award-winning body, that in itself is already a win for me. But being here tonight to personally receive this award, along with my fellow awardees from Asia, I’m still overwhelmed and it still feels surreal.
Please allow me to thank our brilliant directors behind 2 Good 2 Be True, direk Mae Cruz-Alviar and direk Paco Sta. Maria, our writers headed by ninang Mel, and to my brilliant co-actors Mr. Daniel Padilla and Mr. Ronaldo Valdez, and to the whole team behind 2 Good 2 Be True, I’d like to share this award with all of you.
