ICYMI, the sought-after actress and product endorser just renewed her contract with Star Magic of ABS-CBN, and she vowed to stick it out with the company that first saw her potential two decades ago. 

"I remember in 2020, I made a promise. Sinabi ko sa ABS-CBN na, 'Hindi kita iiwan at nandito lang ako hanggang makabangon ka ulit,'" she spills, sharing that commitment that goes beyond contracts and cameras.

The broadcasting giant ABS-CBN faced unprecedented challenges in 2020, including a denial of franchise renewal, and Kathryn stood by the company with a loyalty that felt like family. 

"Ang daming nangyari sa ABS-CBN, but mahal ko, e — mahal ko sobra ‘yung kompanya. Together, we will rise despite all the challenges, we’ll be stronger and even better," she declares, not just as an actress but as someone who's part of a family that's been through the wringer.

Kathryn also sees her contract signing as a seal on a friendship that's seen highs, lows.

"To my bosses, you're like a family to me, and my friends. Itong signing ng contract na 'to [ang dahilan] is because I trusted you more than anybody when it comes to work."

And she lays it out straight — she ain't sticking around if it weren't for the people she trusts. "Hindi ako mag-i-stay dito sa ABS-CBN kung wala kayo. Malaking parte sila kung bakit ako nandito."

But Kathryn isn't just grateful to the big bosses. Her shoutout extends to everyone who's been part of her journey. "Hindi ako makakatulog kapag nakita ko sila at iniwan ko sila, hindi ko kaya. It's my appreciation because ang hirap dito sa industry na ito, e, these people, grabe, sinuportahan nila ako."

Kathryn’s Showbiz Beginnings

Bernardo embarked on her acting journey in 2003 when she took on the role of the young Cielo in ABS-CBN's "It Might Be You." Three years later, in 2006, she secured her inaugural leading role in the TV series "Super Inggo," portraying Maya, the main character's love interest. Following this breakthrough, she seamlessly transitioned into various roles on different ABS-CBN shows, including notable appearances in "Krystala" and "Vietnam Rose." Eventually, she found a lasting place in the hearts of viewers as a mainstay on the beloved kiddie show, "Goin' Bulilit."

In the year 2010, Kathryn Bernardo delved into dramatic roles, marking a significant turn in her career. She took on the character of young Victoria in ABS-CBN's "Magkaribal" and simultaneously portrayed young Jenny in GMA's "Endless Love." It's worth noting that both shows premiered on the same day, June 28, 2010. What a coincidence!

She has proven her staying power since then, raking in iconic roles in popular remakes like Mara in "Mara Clara," and as Yna Macaspac in "Pangako Sa'Yo."
