In the list of greatest selfies of all time, the one of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift after the former sang her heart out at The Eras Tour stop in Sydney, Australia, will *definitely* be included.

Although their beef ended years ago, sightings of them together aren't common. It was also not in anyone’s 2024 Bingo card that Katy would sign up for the VIP slots at Taylor’s concert. But here we are and everyone is loving it!
Katy Perry Drops the Ultimate BFF Selfie with Taylor Swift
Katy recently posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram of her Eras experience. The first photo is a selfie with her and Taylor, cheek to cheek. The next snaps are of her singing along to “You Belong With Me” *AND* “Bad Blood” along with mirror selfies and a photo with Eras tour buddy Rita Ora. Katy captions the carousel with: "Got to see an old friend shine tonight."

It was famously alleged that 2014’s “Bad Blood” was aimed at Katy at the height of the feud, fueled by shady statements they made about each other in different interviews and subtweets. Katy’s supposed response was “Swish Swish,” released in 2017.

Rita also posted her Eras backstage photos. She includes snaps with Taylor and Taylor’s beau Travis Kelce and a shot of her arm full of friendship bracelets.

“Nature Is Healing”
Fans of both Katy and Taylor couldn’t help but comment being happy over the support Katy gave to Taylor. Diplo even left two heart emojis.

Some fans are also hoping this is a clue at the suggested collab both fan camps have been requesting since the squabble was squashed.

A Short History of One of Pop Culture’s Biggest Feuds
Cosmopolitan narrates the timeline of the friendship, feud, and reconciliation between Taylor and Katy. The two were openly fangirling over one another in 2008, but the connection slowly deteriorated.
From 2013 onwards, Taylor and Katy were fighting by alluding to each other in various interview statements. Katy was heavy on the subtweets at that time.
June 2017 proved to be crucial in the feud and its gradual end. This is the month when Taylor drops her entire discography on Spotify the same day Katy releases her album Witness, The tune slowly turns as Katy says she’s forgiven Taylor and wishes her the best.
In 2019, Katy made a cameo in Taylor’s “You Need To Calm Down” music video. Peace has reigned in the popdom since then.
