We've always known that KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad (aka #KDLex) are sweet to each other as love team partners and even before as friends during their Pinoy Big Brother stint, but the two Gen Z stars recently confirmed that there's a ~*real*~ romance blooming between them.
In their recent interview for Tao Po with Bernadette Sembrano, KD admitted that he has been courting Alexa for the past two years they've been paired up. "Nagliligawan with a goal... with a long-term goal," was his answer when asked about the *true* nature of their relationship.
"What else would you call two people going out, trying to make something? Obviously, I don't think we're wasting anyone's time," Alexa added.
The actress also clarified that even before KDLex was formed, there was already a connection built between them, making their tandem seem like the most natural thing in the world. "Bago kami mabuo na KDLex as a love team, meron na kami talagang na-build na connection," she revealed.
When asked about their first impressions of each other, KD answered that he thought Alexa was a "very strong, very smart woman." He added, "It still hasn't changed—I still see her that way, but of course, in a more deeper understanding."
On the other hand, Alexa said that she immediately thought KD was cute. "Sobrang tahimik, I feel like he's an introvert," she followed up.
The love team also noted that their differences are what made them work so well together. "Strong, opinionated, madaldal, headstrong... Siya naman ay very quiet, gentle," Alexa shared. "So we help balance out each other." So cute!
KD also added that communication is definitely *key* in their relationship. "We communicate really well, we're on a more mature mindset, we really make an effort to be each other's partner... each other's support system."
