Kim Chiu briefly addressed persistent breakup rumors with her boyfriend of 12 years, Xian Lim.
Breakup rumors have been circulating, and the absence of Xian in Kim's current social media feed and recent milestones has been obvious to the netizens. In a press conference, Kim was asked about her current status with Xian, and the actress surely knew how to make a light remark on the issue.
"Baka nali-linlang lang kayo," she said before directly responding. "Okay naman kami ni Xi...Mapanlinlang ang showbiz pero maayos naman [kami], masaya naman po."
Xi, as Kim would fondly call Xian, became a certified Kapuso in 2021. Intrigues about their relationship followed his departure from the Kapamilya network, where their love team, "KimXi," as well as their true-to-life romance were established.
The couple proved to be going strong while working for different networks. This year, Kim even greeted Xian during his birthday with the sweetest Instagram Reel with a caption saying, "Happy Birthday to the person who holds my *heart*. Thank you for being you and always putting a smile on my face." However, that became one of the last few posts of Kim together with Xian, which was way back in July 2023.

During It's Showtime's November 2, 2023 episode, Vice Ganda asked Kim who makes her smile nowadays. "Pamilya ko, kamag-anak ko," Kim answered. The actress-host immediately tried to change the topic.
Later in the same segment, Vice once again asked Kim, "Ikaw, kulang ka kapag wala ito?" Kim responded with, "Kulang 'pag walang usap. Because in everything that we do, communication is the key." Finally, Kim would say that aside from her family, her day wouldn't be complete without talking to Xian.
With their blooming careers at the moment, the couple seemed to have missed the chances to be each others' dates in some of the remarkable events of the year. Still, it did not appear as a problem to them. Xian was one dashing gentleman at the Preview Ball 2023, and he didn't mind walking down the black carpet alone.
Kim also went solo for this year's ABS-CBN Ball and she owned the red carpet with her sultry, bejeweled gown. "Nasa India siya, kasama niya 'yung mga friends niya nag-motor. 'Nung na-schedule niya 'yun... na-timing sa ball. Sabi ko sige, go lang," Kim explained in an interview.
Kim has been busy promoting and taping for the talk-of-the-town teleserye at the moment, Linlang, along with Paulo Avelino, JM De Guzman, Kaila Estrada, and Maricel Soriano.
While Xian has been booked and busy with back-to-back hosting gigs, motorcycle escapades, and an upcoming film with Jennylyn Mercado and Valeen Montenegro, called Love, Die, Repeat.
