Did Kim Chiu just describe how her romantic life has been lately?
On December 16, Saturday, Maricel Soriano uploaded a vlog wherein she pretended to be Kim's yaya for a day. At one point, Maricel couldn't help but ask about Kim's love life, amid rumors that she and her longtime boyfriend, Xian Lim, had already broken up after 12 years.
Maricel: "Ang dami-daming nagbubulungan."
Kim: "Oo, maraming nagbubulungan dito. Gano'n talaga."
Maricel: "Kamusta daw ang love life mo? Tinatanong nila love life mo, e. Hindi naman ako makasagot, 'Day, dahil hindi naman ako ikaw."
Kim: "Sino nagtatanong sa 'yo?"
Maricel: "Mga fans mo, 'Day. Mga fans. "
Kim: "Nagtatanong sa love life ko?"
Maricel: "Nagtatanong sa love life mo."
Kim: "Ang love life ko ngayon ay ano..." (laughs)
Maricel: "Ay ano? Ba't natatawa ka? Nakakatawa ba?"
Kim: "Ang love life ko ay naka-hang ngayon."
Maricel: "Parang telepono, 'Day?"
Kim: "Oo, oo."
Maricel: "Naka-hang?"
Kim: "Kumain tayo, Yaya!"
Maricel: "Kumain tayo, oo. Daanin natin sa pagkain."
Although Kim was clearly in an amused state when she answered Maricel, could there be something in how she described her current love life situation?
Rumors first started circulating that there might be trouble in paradise after Kim went solo to the 2023 Preview Ball back in September, also when Kim gave a cryptic reply to her It's Showtime co-host Vice Ganda about how life would not be complete without proper communication.
"Kulang 'pag walang usap. Because in everything that we do, communication is the key." Still, she added that her day would not be complete without talking to Xian. Despite the rumors, Kim denied in an interview that she and Xian had broken up.
In November, Xian had a cryptic post warning netizens against believing in "hearsay." In the same month, Kim told an It's Showtime contestant to "lower your expectations" when it comes to love.
Around mid-December, Xian deleted all his YouTube videos with Kim, adding further speculation that the couple are no longer together.
