One week after emerging unscathed from a van shooting incident, Kim Chiu posted a heartfelt thank you message on Instagram. Part of her caption reads: "That day made me realize life is really short, life is very precious, and most of all [I] felt God's presence. He protected me, my PA, and my driver. None of us [were] hurt. He is really powerful amongst us all. I must say it was a miracle. I could not explain the feeling but I know he was with us and so [were] our guardian angels."
In the post, Kim thanked Direk Lauren Dyogi, her sister Lakambini Chiu, executives from ABS-CBN, her Star Magic family, her lawyers, and everyone who helped her through the difficult experience.
She also shared her realizations after the incident, writing, "You discover people who are willing to help, people who care for you, and people who just want to bring you down. I don't want to get mad at them or 'hate' them."
"Puno ng pasasalamat ang puso ko, I'm just happy that I am here posting another IG post and thanking HIM for this precious life! Tuloy ang buhay!"
On March 4, at around 6 a.m., two unidentified gunmen fired eight bullets at Kim's van while she was on her way to a taping of Love Thy Woman. She was asleep inside the car when the incident happened. Kim, along with her personal assistant and driver, did not get injured.
According to a report by PEP, fellow celebrities recently defended Kim after former TV-radio broadcaster Jay Sonza said that Kim's story was "isang malaking drawing" and that it was "incredible to believe."
