Kim Jones: Early life
Kim was born Kimberly Camilla Jones in the United Kingdom on August 4, 1987, to a British father and Filipino mother.
From the U.K., Kim grew up in Australia until she moved to the Philippines in December 2010 at the age of 23.
At the urging of her brother, Apollo Jones, she made the life-altering decision to embark on a creative journey in the Philippines. Securing a temporary financial cushion before committing to her new path, she returned to Australia to sell her car, then booked a one-way ticket back to Manila.

Kim Jones Educational Background
While interacting with her followers via a question-and-answer session on her Instagram broadcast channel on December 7, 2023, Kim talked about her educational history.
She disclosed, "I dropped out. I like to learn at my own pace and without limits." While taking up architecture, she realized a misalignment between her learning style and a curriculum-based education.
Elaborating on her choice of architecture, she shared, "I studied architecture because I like the scale, permanence, and utility of it. But the Gemini rising in me said a hard no to curriculums." Despite diverging from the traditional academic path, Kim expressed her continued fascination with the subject.
In a separate response, she highlighted Rococo as her favorite type of architecture. Rococo, according to Merriam-Webster dictionary, is an "artistic style especially of the 18th century characterized by fanciful curved asymmetrical forms and elaborate ornamentation."

Kim Jones Career
MODELLING
Standing at a height of 170 cm (5 feet, 7 inches) with sharp facial features, Kim already showed promise in the scene of modeling. But, it took the encouragement of her brother Apollo, who already did modeling jobs in the Philippines, for her to try her luck in the industry.
Recounting her first commercial gig in a feature story on Fashionista.com, Kim related how she spent 20 hours on the shoot and got a talent fee of USD30.00, only for her part to be edited out in the final cut.
Instead of sulking over it, Kim developed a liking to the craft, shaping her commitment to the world of fashion in the years to follow.
BLOGGING AND HOSTING
While maintaining a fashion blog website, Kim also landed a hosting job that lasted for three years.
From 2011 to 2014, she co-hosted ETC's magazine show Etcetera alongside Mari Jasmine, which showcases fashion finds, fashion-related events, and the people in the local fashion industry.

Fast-forward to the present, Kim has broadened her professional portfolio, evolving into a filmmaker, entrepreneur, and all-around creative.
