ICYDK: Longtime couple, Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles, finally got engaged earlier this month after 10 (!) years of being boyfriend and girlfriend. One cute tidbit we love about their engagement story? Jerald put a ring on it in the exact same spot they first met—at the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) Theater.

For those not in the know, Jerald and Kim starred in the 2014 play Rak of Aegis, where they played Tolits and Aileen, respectively. In one scene of the play, Tolits knelt down and asked for Aileen's hand in marriage—though IRL, the two actors were purely just friends. Fast forward to many years later and being officially in a relationship, Jerald decided to recreate the romantic scene and pop the question for real! Cue the tears, you guys.

Kim Molina Reveals That Jerald Napoles *Handmade* Her Engagement Ring Himself
Anyway, what makes their engagement story more romantic is the fact that Jerald actually personally handmade Kim's engagement ring himself! Kim revealed this tidbit in a video she shared on Instagram.
"Just when I thought the surprise ended there, days after the proposal I found out he even made the ring himself.. @iamjnapoles, you are a dream, my love. Thank you," she penned on Insta. Kim also credited Radiant Jewelry for helping Jerald in the process of making her engagement ring.

According to Kim, he made her watch a video of him actually making her engagement ring days after he popped the question. "He told me that it was 2023 when these clips were taken, but due to some unexpected circumstances, lagi nauudlot [ang] proposal and he kept the ring from me in secret for more than a year," she wrote in the video.
In the video, Jerald can be seen heating up the metal and hammering down on it, reshaping it to fit Kim's finger, and filing it down for a smoother finish—all with the help of jewelry experts.


Kim also shared a clip of Jerald asking for her parents' blessing to take her hand in marriage via video call, as they were based in UAE. Green flags all around! *sobs*
