Kim Rodriguez has finally spoken up about her alleged romantic involvement with basketball player Marc Pingris.
ICYMI, the rumor mill claiming that Kim and Marc are having an affair started when netizens said photos of the two (albeit not together) had similar backgrounds. To clear the air once and for all, Marc recently issued a statement, "Walang katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na balita tungkol sa amin ni Ms. Kim Rodriguez. Walang namamagitan sa aming dalawa gaya ng sinasabi ng ibang tao," he wrote on his official Facebook account, clarifying that their interactions were purely professional.
"Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo," he added, urging the public to respect the privacy of his family. Marc is married to Danica Sotto, and has three children with her.

Sharing her side of the story, Kim echoed Marc's sentiments, denying the affair rumors as well. Her manager, Ogie Diaz, explained his talent's side in his latest vlog. "Nakausap ko nga itong si Kim Rodriguez dahil ako nga ay binulabog ng mga tawag, ng mga text at mga DM [direct message] at PM [personal message]. Kaya kinausap ko yung alaga ko. Siyempre bilang manager ano, bilang vlogger din, dalawa yung [trabaho ko] kasi medyo nahihirapan ako sa sitwasyon na ito.
"Ako'y tumatayo bilang manager ni Kim Rodriguez. At sa kabilang banda, ako rin ay isang vlogger na inaasahan ninyong lahat na magsasalita kung anong totoo."
He directly asked Kim about the hearsay, to which the actress had a firm response. "Tito, hindi po yan totoo," said Kim.
Ogie added, "Hindi raw sila magkasama nun. Kaya sabi niya sa akin, 'Kahit itanong po ninyo diyan sa girl na yan kung magkasama kami ni Marc o pareho niya kaming nakita on that day, that same time. I'm sure alam niya yung totoo.' Yun."
Kim also said that the matching background of her photo with Marc was purely coincidental. "Sabi sa akin ni Kim, 'Anong pakialam ko kung may picture doon si Marc Pingris sa Opera House, e, ako rin merong picture,'" Ogie further shared.
