It's been an emotional week for a lot of people worldwide, with the tragic death of basketball icon Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant, and seven other passengers after a helicopter crash on January 26.
On January 31, a tribute was held at the Staples Center during the L.A. Lakers' first game after Kobe's death. In honor of Kobe's memory, the team wore jerseys with "8" and "24" on them. They played against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Opening the game was Usher, with a heartfelt rendition of "Amazing Grace":
Usher's performance was followed by a number from cello player Ben Hong who played to a tribute video and a moving speech from Lakers player Lebron James. Next, Boyz II Men sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" to end the pre-game ceremony.
At halftime, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth sang their tear-jerking song "See You Again".
"Love and peace to the late Kobe Bryant," Wiz said as the song ended. "Peace and blessing to his entire family. His legacy is [going to] be remembered."
