It appears that nothing can stop Kris Aquino from setting up a date for her celebrity friend—and that's despite her going through a life-threatening condition.
Recently, Kris, also known as the "Queen of All Media," has been posting updates about her autoimmune connective tissue disease. It is one of the ailments that Kris has been addressing since early 2022.
On her posts, celebrities and netizens flock to the comments section to express their love and prayers for Kris. One of those celebrities was Carla Abellana. She commented, "Prayers for you, Ms. Kris." Typically, it was just another heartfelt comment of support for Kris. But amid the pain she was feeling, Kris was game to play matchmaker for Carla, who had been separated from her husband, Tom Rodriguez, since 2022.
Although Kris was not completely updated on Carla's marriage status at the moment, she did not hesitate to mention a "doctor friend" to Carla and how she thinks he would be a *great match* for the actress.
"If you’re already in the process of getting annulled we have a doctor friend based in OC who might be a great match," Kris wrote.
While we wait for whether Carla will respond to Kris in the public comments section, or they might pick up the conversation through DMs, netizens observed how Kris's attitude and liveliness haven't changed a bit despite battling different diseases through the years. Several netizens liked her comment and also left several laughing reactions.
Days before her viral matchmaking comment to Carla, Kris revealed that she is "highly likely" in the early stages of her battle against lupus.
"I am already exhibiting many symptoms for another autoimmune connective tissue disease - it's highly likely based on my ANA count, my high inflammatory numbers, my anemia, my now constant elevated blood pressure at night and consistent appearance of the butterfly rash on my face that I'm on the initial stage of lupus," she explained in an Instagram video.
