If there’s one celeb who doesn’t seem to get *fazed* by bashers, it’s definitely Kylie Padilla. After all, the actress proved time and time again that she knows how to handle controversies and rude remarks from strangers online. Case in point: She just ~*graciously*~ responded to a netizen who criticized her acting skills.
It started when a Twitter user posted an unverified announcement that Kylie will reportedly star in a GMA film with fellow Kapuso actors Ruru Madrid and Derrick Monasterio, as well as Kapamilya star Enrique Gil.
“Whaaaaaat? Kawawang Enrique, sobrang bigat ng bubuhatin niya. Ang babano pa naman umarte nung tatlo. […] For sure, flop yan,” the netizen wrote.
He even tagged the actress in the replies of her post, calling Kylie a “banong starlet.” The comment reads, “@kylienicolep masama ba na sabihan kitang banong starlet?”
TwitterKylie handled the situation like a pro, though! “Of course, you have the right to your opinion,” she told the basher. She even posted a separate tweet saying that she has already developed a *thick skin* over the years, thanks to showbiz.
“Ako ay nag-ttrabaho lamang. Wag niyo po masyado istressin ang sarili niyo,” she says. “All love and peace. And thanks to everyone who feels like they have to defend me. Luckily, I’ve developed a thick skin from showbiz, pero na-appreciate ko kayo, each and every one of you.” Well said!
Instagram/kylienicolepadillaAt the first-ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival held just this month, Kylie received a Best Actress nomination for her performance in the film Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story. She's currenly starring in the GMA teleserye Ang Mga Lihim ni Urduja.
