Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram this weekend to share the exciting news that she's engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Bader Shammas.
Alongside a series of photos of the pair cuddled up, Lindsay showed off her sparkling engagement ring to her 9.8 million Instagram followers. She captioned the post: "My love. My life. My family. My future." How romantic!?
Speaking to The Sun earlier this year, a source close to the couple gave fans an insight into their relationship: "Lindsay's relationship with Bader is going strong. She has been with him for about two years now."
The insider continued, "He's not an actor, he's not in the entertainment industry, he manages funds for high net worth people at Credit Suisse," before adding "They'll get married at some point. It's just a matter of time."
The 34-year-old and her partner live in Dubai, although she recently returned to the US to make her acting comeback in a Netflix rom-com. In the Christmas-themed movie, Lindsay plays a "newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress" who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and "finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas."
The untitled rom-com is set to air on the streaming platform next Christmas (so, unfortunately, there's still a long while to go yet). Thankfully at least, last week Netflix released the first teaser photo from the new movie, which shows The Parent Trap actor and her co-star Chord Overstreet on set.
We can't wait to watch!
