Little Women has been removed from Netflix in Vietnam following allegations of historical distortion of the Vietnam war.

On October 5, Vietnamese news outlet Tuoi Tre News reported that the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information under the Ministry of Information and Communications submitted a request for the K-drama to be removed from the streaming platform.

According to Le Quang Tu Do, head of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, the show violated "Vietnam's laws regulating media and cinema for falsifying history, downplayed revolutionary accomplishments, and insulted the Vietnamese nation."

In particular, Do cited scenes in episodes three and eight involving the Jeongran Society, a secret organization founded by Korean soldiers who fought during the Vietnam war. One of the soldiers, General Won Ki Sun, is often referred to as a war hero.

Additionally, one character in the drama said, "In our best battle, each Korean soldier killed 20 Viet Congs (Vietnamese Communists)."
