Liza Soberano isn’t shy to support her fellow celebrities in the industry, including Jane De Leon, who replaced her as iconic superhero Darna when she backed out of the recently-concluded ABS-CBN series out of injury.
In an interview with Bea Alonzo, Liza was put on the hot seat when she was asked, “Do you think you would’ve been a better Darna?” The actress responded candidly: “Honestly, I don’t know. I don't wanna say my athletic capabilities are the best. So hindi ko talaga alam.”
What she can say is that she’s impressed with Jane’s portrayal of the character. “I think Jane did a good job. I saw some of the episodes. Pinanood ko because I wanted to see how it would actually end up.”
She also shared that they are good friends, debunking the notion that they might have beef with each other. "Jane became a good friend of mine also. Not super close, but I talked to her when it was passed on to her to make sure that I'm supportive of it.”
