Following months of tirades against Bea Alonzo, Lolit Solis has finally issued an apology.
The entertainment writer took to social media on October 18, Tuesday, to say sorry via a lengthy post.
"Nagsimula sa akin, dapat sa akin din magtapos," Lolit wrote on IG, featuring a photo of Bea and her Start-Up PH co-star, Alden Richards. "Aminado ako na dahil lang sa pagpatol sa mga bashing ng fans kaya naging sunod-sunod ang kagagahang sinulat ko kay Bea Alonzo. For that, I Am Very Sorry. Naisip ko na ang tinamaan si Bea Alonzo na puwedeng nasaktan dahil sa mga nasabi at nasulat ko."
"To think na favorite love team ko ang John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo. To think na para sa akin isa si Bea sa may pinakamagandang mukha sa showbiz. Me and my crooked sense of humor na hindi makuha ng lahat."
Netizens will recall that Lolit started hurling negative comments at Bea in May, after the actress allegedly *uninvited* Lolit to a press conference. Lolit also expressed that she didn't think Bea suited the lead role in Start-Up PH.
"Ano ba ang tingin ni Bea Alonzo sa sarili niya, super mega star of all season?" Lolit wrote then. "Pinakasikat, powerful, at ubod ng ganda? Kaloka talaga yung ilusyon niya ha, hindi ko kinaya, ha ha ha."
"Paano na mangyayari kay Bea Alonzo lalo pa nga at kitang-kita mo na mukha siyang older kay Alden Richards sa ginagawa nilang serye?" she added in a later post.
About a week ago, Bea responded to Lolit's controversial remarks, saying she has no ill feelings toward the showbiz journalist.
“I respect her so much, although we’ve never met, we’ve never been introduced or [spoken] to each other,” she said.
"I heard she’s sick at lalo na akong hindi sasagot, dadalhin ko pa 'yan parang ang bigat-bigat. Let’s just stay positive. I will sincerely pray for her healing and for her to get well soon."
