When the Spice Girls said "friendship never ends," this is what they meant.
Victoria Beckham celebrated her 50th birthday on Wednesday, April 17th. However, rather than being the one in for a surprise, it was the fans who were taken aback by the unexpected reunion of Spice Girls in the party.
David Beckham captured the moment and uploaded the footage of his wife with her ‘then’ Pop Girl group Spice Girls– Mel B (aka Scary Spice), Melanie C (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice)– on Instagram singing and dancing to the choreography of one of their 1998 hit tracks "Stop" playing in the background.

Reposting the video, Victoria wrote “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife”
Posh Spice also posted on her Instagram a stunning photo with the members of the pop group with the caption, "The best gift to be reunited!! Thank you to all my friends and family for celebrating with me. Kisses! xxx"
It doesn't end there! Spice Girls members also extended their warm birthday wishes to Victoria Beckham and posted it on their personal Instagram accounts.

Meanwhile, Baby Spice posted a video montage and had the sweetest caption! “Happy birthday @victoriabeckham! 50 and bossing it! Your beautiful family are a credit to you and I’m sure you’ll be spoilt rotten. We love you to bits."
Geri Halliwell said, “Happy Birthday! @victoriabeckham You’re amazing! From our Tank girl audition over 30 years ago , and you’re still shining bright! Wishing you love & joy."
When is the Spice Girls reuniting for a concert?
Prior to the celebration, there has been speculation on the Spice Girls reunion. Staring at an interview at Today With Hoda & Jenna last January, Mel B told the hosts that the group is brewing some good news that involves fans “being 100% satisfied” and that it’s going to be a “gift that keeps on giving.”
"Well, I've been saying this forever, but now we're actually going to be releasing some really good news in about a few weeks that involves all five of us," Mel B said.
All five of them, that's exciting for sure.
Moreover, Mel B. released a few more details about the upcoming reunion in her interview with U.K. talk show Loose Women in March 2024, just a month before Victoria’s birthday celebration.
"We are definitely doing something... I’m probably going to get told off, but I’ve said it," she added.
Spice Girls disbanded and went their separate ways in 2000. The group last reunited in 2019 for their 13-date U.K. tour but Victoria Beckham didn't participate in those shows.
During the pandemic, rumors on their possible comeback celebration of their 25th anniversary emerged. However, it didn't push through because of the COVID-19. By 2021, reports and rumors resurfaced again about a possible Spice Girls comeback tour in 2023, this time with Beckham included.
