In response to circulating rumors linking him to actress Kim Rodriguez, former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) star Marc Pingris has come forward to set the record straight.
In a statement released on Thursday, Pingris categorically denied the allegations, stating, "Walang katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na balita tungkol sa amin ni Ms. Kim Rodriguez. Walang namamagitan sa aming dalawa gaya ng sinasabi ng ibang tao."
The rumors had sparked speculation after several social media posts and blind items in forums online suggested a romantic involvement between Pingris and Rodriguez. However, Pingris clarified that their interactions were purely professional.

"Nakasama ko po si Ms. Kim sa isang basketball event at sa isa pang event noong naging muse siya ng team namin," Pingris explained.
Pingris also expressed gratitude to those who had expressed concern but urged the public to refrain from spreading baseless rumors. "Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo," he urged, highlighting the potential harm caused by false information.
Furthermore, Pingris appealed for respect for his family's privacy, particularly his children with wife Danica Sotto. "Humihingi po kami ng respeto para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica," he stated, noting that all is well in his family.
