Congrats, we're almost done with April! But to be honest, everything from March up to this day that you're reading this very sentence seems like a blur. A lot has happened—from some riveting turn of events (politics-wise), to a disastrous controversy in South Korea that shook the world, and to, unfortunately, a series of celebrity deaths. There was a lot to take in. It's too intense for anyone if you ask me.

Naturally (at least for me), after diving deep into the news, we can't help but crave a bit of relaxation these days. It's a good thing to be distracted and to be entertained once in a while, in between everything that's happening. So, what better way is there than to consume K-dramas? Below, we're listing down the K-dramas you might've missed from March and April so you can enjoy your summer months ahead!

New K-Dramas To Watch On Netflix From March To April 2025

The Potato Lab

Plot: The Potato Lab is a romantic comedy that explores the world of potato research. (Obviously, from the title, right? LOL) But the story tells more about how a dedicated researcher, Kim Mi Kyung (portrayed by Lee Sun Bin), and a cold, strict new department chief, So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Ho), fall in love at work. Baek Ho joins Mi Kyung's team during a season when their institute is on the brink of closing down. The plot thickens when the two are forced to live close to each other!

When Life Gives You Tangerines

Cast: IU, Park Bo Gum, Moon So Ri, Park Hae Joon

Plot: When Life Gives You Tangerines is everything. As most fans declared, the drama was worth the wait. It tells about the beauty and also the pain of living, as it captures the triumphs and struggles of the characters navigating through different generations. What we (personally) love about When Live Gives You Tangerines is its enamoring focus on womanhood.

The Netflix K-drama, top-billed by IU and Park Bo Gum, is divided into four acts or volumes. (PSA: You need to buy lots of tissue rolls for this drama.) The story starts with the love and life story of Oh Ae Sun (IU) and Yang Gwan Sik (Park Bo Gum). The two are childhood sweethearts who have weathered countless storms and built a life full of dreams for their family in the Jeju province. The succeeding acts follow the story of their daughter, Yang Geum Myeong, which is still intertwined with her parents, who are now living their elderly days.

Resident Playbook

It's a spin-off series of our beloved medical-slash-slice-of-life K-drama, Hospital PlaylistThe new series follows the stories of first-year residents in the OB-GYN department. As they navigate through the ups and downs of working in the medical industry, the doctors find love, friendship, and also their newfound purpose in life.

Fun fact: Exciting cameos are waiting for Resident Playbook viewers! Some of the Hospital Playlist cast will be gracing the spin-off series. And get this: TXT's Soobin and Yeonjun will both be part of the show for an episode. Watch out for that!

The Haunted Palace

Cast: Yook Sung Jae, Bona, Kim Ji Hoon, Kim Young Kwang

Plot: If you're up for a horror thriller but still a light and interesting watch, The Haunted Palace might be something you'd want to try. FYI, it's also the comeback drama for BTOB's Sungjae, who portrays the role of a royal archivist possessed by an evil spirit. Because of it, his good reputation and handsome appearance took a 180-degree turn. People around him would start to talk about him as if he's the crazy guy in the block now, LOL. That is, until he gets involved with Yeo Ri (Bona), who has a divine gift for helping spirits. However, Yeo Ri refuses to use her powers. Their paths are now forever entwined, all because of the evil spirit.

As she arrived in heaven, she was asked if she would like to turn 50 years younger than her age when she left Earth. Interestingly, she declined and wished to still live as an 80-year-old only to meet her late husband in heaven—except he's chosen to go back to his appearance at 30 years old, LOL.

New K-Dramas To Watch On Viu From March To April 2025

The Art of Negotiation

Cast: Lee Je Hoon, Kim Dae Myung, Sung Dong Il, Jang Hyun Sung

Plot: Okay, first things first: Lee Je Hoon's hair in this drama? It's giving Jack Frost™ but make him oppa. (LOL!) But anyway, the drama ain't a fairytale—it's not about winter or anything. The Art of Negotiation, from its title, tells the story of Yoon Joo No (Lee Je Hoon), a well-known negotiator in the industry of mergers and acquisitions. Known as a "legend" in his field, Yoon Joo No will lead his team to take on, a.k.a. negotiate inside the corporate world. So yeah, this drama is pretty much businesses and everything corporate ;)

Way Back Love

Cast: Gong Myung, Kim Min Ha

Plot: Way Back Love is up for some binge-watch, you guys. In only six episodes, it tells a slice-of-life x romance kind of story. Demotivated and disheartened in life, Jung Hee Wan (played by Kim Min Ha) meets her dead best friend and past crush, Kim Ram Woo (portrayed by Gong Myung), who is now a grim reaper. Obviously, when Ram Woo, the grim reaper, appears in front of a living Hee Wan, it only means one thing: she's about to die. And so, their story continues with Hee Wan carrying out a bucket list with Ram Woo. P.S. Don't get confused, too, because in the drama, the characters switched their names for a reason ;)

Crushology 101

Cast: Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Chae Min, Jo Joon Young, Kim Hyun Jin, Hong Min Gi

Plot: This is one of those K-dramas you "watch for the plot." And by plot, we obviously mean the cast (we see you nodding, no need to hide it!) Roh Jeong Eui (Hierarchy) stars as Ban Hee Jin, also called Bani (or Bunny if you want). She's a university student trying to move on from her disastrous first love romance, which was concluded through a viral breakup on their campus. With that, she vows to only date "handsome" boys, proof that she's setting higher standards and doing much better in love this time, amid what others say about her being a pushover.
