Some would say that couples can avoid jealousy at all costs. For Marian Riverait's a natural feeling to experience as a woman and it's okay as long as it is handled well—though, quite unfortunately, she says, she wasn't able to do that in the past.

She openly talked about jealousy concerns in an interview with Karen Davila. Marian admitted that she was one jealous woman, a.k.a. selosa, but she emphasized that she always had a reason for it.

"Nasa lugar. Kasi may dahilan. Nature ng babae 'yan," Marian said during the interview.

She was absolutely candid and straightforward about their conversation. For some, jealousy can be a sensitive topic but Marian bares it all as if speaking from experience. The seasoned actress noted that she would never fake her emotions if something felt "off" between another woman and her partner.

My god, napaka-impokrita 'nun. No, no, no for me."

So, there's that: when you feel that something's off, don't pretend at all. You go straight in and resolve that jealousy problem. However, Marian got real about that one step she did wrong most of the time in the past: Not resolving the problem with her partner (whom we all know is Dingdong Dantes) and directly confronting the other woman instead.

Ganun. Mali," she admitted.

Marian and Karen's convo did not skip touching on the question: is Marian on good terms now with other women she once had strong feelings against because of jealousy?

The actress made it clear that she has let go of any bitterness in her heart for anyone at all. At this point in her life, she feels nothing but gratitude for all the blessings that she has received, especially for her family.

"Parang oo. Pero ngayon, 'pag nakikita ko, I'm trying to be civil. Parang ni-let go ko na 'yan," she declared.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes's relationship

Marian and Dingdong are deemed to be one of the power couples in Philippine showbiz. They first paired up in the Philippine adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Marimar. Although their relationship was a bit controversial in the beginning, the two managed to put on a steady relationship not just for show but IRL.

The couple tied the knot in what our generation could call the most extravagant wedding of the century. On December 30, 2014, their wedding was televised on national television. Marian and Dingdong were dubbed as one of the hottest love teams and so their nuptial was one of the highly anticipated events of 2014—add to that the fact that their wedding reception took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Ten years later, Marian and Dingdong renewed their wedding vows in a simple and intimate vow renewal last December 30, 2024. This time around, it was just them and their two wonderful kids, Zia and Sixto.
