Maris Racal is surely one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation, yet she believes that she has more to achieve.

Recently, the 26-year-old actress has been starring in back-to-back projects like Hintayan ng Langit and Can't Buy Me LoveNetizens can't help but notice her acting prowess and praise her for it. The former Pinoy Big Brother star is grateful and honored by how viewers are now tagging her as the ~*new generation's rom-com queen*~

"Thankful ako sa mga netizens na tinatawag akong romcom queen. It’s a huge title especially here sa country natin na mahilig sa romcom. Wish ko siya, a romcom film talaga. I’m just really up for it," Maris declared.

If there's another thing that Maris is aiming for in the next years of her career, it's to work on a 'Girl Love' or GL project.

Maris already has two actresses in mind for her dream GL project, and she openly shared it in an interview. "Sana may romcom na GL na darating. I really want to work with Barbie Forteza and Nadine Lustre," she said.

In a separate interview, Nadine responded to Maris' desire to work with her, "If it is always a good script, down naman ako to do it. I’m very collaborative, and I love working with different people. Sobrang excited. I just love when a lot of people kind of want to work with me. I’m looking forward to that," she stated.

While the Internet waits for more of Maris' romcom stints and future GL projects, netizens are clamoring for Maris and Anthony Jennings' lead series together. The two are paired in the drama Can't Buy Me Love which is also top-billed by Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

Maris and Anthony have been demonstrating insane chemistry and humor with their scenes that just revive the "enemies-to-lovers" trope in Philippine television. We know, it's not new, but Maris and Anthony are putting an irresistible twist to the well-loved genre.

Maris is also starring in a film by Antoinette Jadaone called Sunshine. She portrays the role of gymnast in the film, which she described as something that would make her really proud as an actress. "Sa film na to, I’ve grown so much as an actress at forever kong babaunin ang natutunan ko dito," she wrote in an Instagram post.
