Max Collins is done believing in marriage. That's according to her recent interview, where she also spilled some details about her forthcoming divorce with estranged husband Pancho Magno.
Apologetic but authentic—that's how Max relayed her current thoughts about marriage. "Ako, I don't believe in marriage. No, I'm sorry, I don't. I mean, I don't personally. I believe in marriage for everyone else," she told GMA News.
While she believes marriage could work for other people, she no longer considers the idea of marriage for herself. "I think for me, I feel like that doesn't... hindi 'yun basehan of what love means, to be married, no. You can still love each other and be together without being married," the actress expressed.
She continued to say, "It's really a commitment. So even if you marry each other, that doesn't mean you'll be together forever."
Amid her thoughts on marriage, Max is not closing her doors to dating—it's just that she has been very careful about relationships these days. Besides, Max admitted to enjoying singlehood! "Being single isn't always a status. It's a choice," she declared.

Max Collins and Pancho Magno's relationship
Max and Pancho, who are both Kapuso stars, tied the knot in December 2017. But it was during the height of the pandemic that the two decided to call it quits. Despite their breakup, the ex-couple is currently maintaining good communication and connection with each other for the sake of their son, Skye Anakin.
More than being parents to Skye, Max still refers to Pancho as her best friend. She even expressed her support for Pancho on the eventuality that he would find a new love. "I will always be here to support him. He's my best friend, and I want him to be happy. That's what I really want," she expressed.

In her above-mentioned interview with GMA News on April 5, 2024, Max disclosed that she and Pancho are finally talking about legally separating through a divorce. Since Max is an American citizen, they will be filing divorce proceedings in America, where divorce is also legally accepted.

Despite their legal separation soon, Max and Pancho have vowed to continue their healthy co-parenting setup for Skye. "We're good, we're great. It really works for us. It's been really healthy and we're both happy as our son's very happy so it really worked out for the best," she stated.
