Perhaps this is what we've been waiting for. Max Collins and Pancho Magno opened up about their relationship's ups, downs, and everything in between in an exclusive chat with Smart Parenting. And yes, the former couple addressed questions about possibly getting back together.

The former couple, together with their son Skye Anakin, were on the latest cover of the digital publication. Max and Pancho have been one of those celebrity ex-couples showcasing a cool and efficient co-parenting setup for their kid. With their usual Instagram interactions, and occasional pics together because of their son's milestones (such as birthdays, moving up ceremonies, and the like), the public couldn't help but wish for them to be together again.
The Smart Parenting team directly asked the two if there was a chance for them to be a couple once again. Pancho suddenly remembered Max yearning for a baby girl, "Max told me, kelan ba 'yun, two years ago (looks at Max), na gusto mo magka-baby, gusto mo magka-babae."
The two broke up in the middle of the pandemic, sometime in 2020 or 2021—about three years ago already (it was that long already, IKR?) Max seemed to have no recollection of what Pancho was talking about, though. Instead, Max told the Smart Parenting team that they had closed that chapter of their lives. "We've already closed that chapter but we're definitely on a better one right now, as Skye's parents," she stated.
Well, it's pretty obvious in their IG feeds that aside from their busy work as celebrities—especially with Max doing all sorts of modeling these days plus her fashion week stints abroad—the two have also been focused on spending time with Skye.
Max even praises Pancho for really exerting all kinds of efforts to be well-involved in their child's life. "To be fair to Pancho—I'm so sorry to say, but I noticed a lot of dads—they don't want to be as involved in their children's life, but he [Pancho] wants to be involved and he's also a great dad. So the dads who don't want to be part of the child's life, obviously there's no co-parenting relationship there," she explained.
Pancho jested about his efforts, "Number one tip, always comment on their post." He continued on a serious note, "Always make sure na merong time na magkakasama as family. That's the best. I know we're talking about tips, but it's not that easy."

Talking to Smart Parenting, Pancho admitted that he's not dating at the moment. As for Max, there are no reports or even speculations about a new romance for her, either. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why reconciliation rumors still float around the ex-couple.
Despite their breakup, believe it or not, the two have remained on good terms. When they publicized their split in 2023, Max had nothing but well wishes for her ex-husband. "I will always be here to support him. He's my best friend, and I want him to be happy. That's what I really want," she expressed when asked about Pancho finding a new love again.
Max, on the other hand, might seem to have rejected the idea of marriage now for herself, but she's not closing her doors to dating. For her, two people can continue loving each other without being married these days, and that's okay.
"Ako, I don't believe in marriage. No, I'm sorry, I don't. I mean, I don't personally. I believe in marriage for everyone else. I think for me, I feel like that doesn't...hindi 'yun basehan of what love means, to be married, no. You can still love each other and be together without being married. It's really a commitment. So even if you marry each other, that doesn't mean you'll be together forever," she told GMA News in an April 2024 interview.
