So...this is what we've all been waiting for: the complete details of the newest streaming service launching in the Philippines. In case you still haven't heard of it, the streaming platform, Max, will be fully launching in Southeast Asia, and the Philippines is included in the lineup of countries.
Home to popular entertainment franchises like HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Cartoon Network, and more, Max will be available for the public on November 19, 2024.
It will cater to exclusive content from HBO Originals, including Dune: Prophecy, which will premiere on the 19th as well. But aside from the extensive roster of series, films, and almost all kinds of genres, Max also boasts an accessible and affordable service.
What are the perks of Max?
Aside from ultra 4K viewing—yes they do have it—Max will also offer multiple mobile logins to their app. Users can also personalize their app through profiles that will also have personalized watch recommendations based on subscribers' viewing habits.
Okay, so aside from a wide variety of languages available for subtitles and audio dubs, Max's interface allows subscribers to choose their preferred language when using it! There will also be a function where subscribers can "bookmark" or "save" content they wish to watch later on or get back to. A kid-proof feature can also be activated in the app, to curate safe, age-appropriate, and fam-friendly content.
The download option for subscribers will also be available, especially for people who are always on the go and would love to watch even without an Internet connection.
How do you subscribe to Max in the Philippines?
You can install Max via the Apple Store and Google Play Store starting November 19. You may activate your subscription via the app or via www.max.com. Rates for Philippine subscribers range from P149 to P399 monthly.

How much is a Max subscription in the Philippines?
So, there are three subscription types: 1) mobile, 2) standard, 3) ultimate. The mobile stands as the cheapest among the three with only P149/month, or P1,040 if you want to pay for 12 months already—and yes, they do have an annual subscription. TYG!
1. Mobile
The mobile plan only offers streaming for one mobile device at a time (either phone or tablet only) with standard HD resolution. It's meant for one person only and can only have 15 downloads.
2. Standard
Now with the standard plan, because it offers a higher tier, it allows a total of two devices for streaming at the same time, and it includes TVs. Plus, it has full HD video resolution! The number of downloads also doubles with 30 downloads for on-the-go streaming. The standard plan costs P269 per month, or P1,890 for a one-year subscription.

3. Ultimate
So of course, Max has the ultimate plan that boasts its 4K ultra HD and Dolby Atmos quality for an elevated viewing experience. This plan can be used on TVs and a total of four devices at the same time. Get this, too: you can have up to 100 downloads under this plan. It's priced at P399 monthly, and again, can be purchased under a 12-month plan that costs P2,790 only.
Well, we're def subscribing on November 19! See you, Max!
