Maxene Magalona recently went on another solo, ~soul-searching~ trip. While meditating, the actress said that she suddenly felt the urge to "take a road trip" so she traveled all the way to Baguio on her own.

"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire," she captioned her Instagram post, where she shared pics of her enjoying a cozy fire pit. "When my soul feels strongly about something, I honor and follow it. I take it as a message from God because I always pray to Him every day to keep guiding my path and showing me which steps to take in my journey. So whenever I feel a nudge from my soul, I make sure to listen to it. This is how I sharpen my intuition. This is how I operate."
She continued: "I suddenly remembered how I’ve always wanted to drive to Baguio especially during this time of the year so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to spend some much-needed quality time with myself, nourish my soul and start the New Year with pure and clear intentions."
After spending a peaceful week in Baguio, Maxene realized that "this trip was just what my soul needed."

"You always have a choice. Either you stay in the dark or go towards the light," she said in a separate post.
Previously, Maxene opened up about how she uses "self-healing" to deal with her mental health condition. She has been reading self-help books, journaling, going to therapy, practicing yoga, and meditating.
In December 2021, she also went on a trip to Boracay. Absent from her IG pics is husband Rob Mananquil.
In an Instagram post, she asked netizens to refrain from asking questions about her personal life. "Don't come to my page for gossip. Come to my page for God," she said.
Maxene also pointed out that "actors are human beings too." She added, "Even if our job entails us to be in the limelight, it doesn't mean that we owe our private stories to the public."
