Maymay Entrata Gets Featured On The Grammy's Online Series

Maymay Entrata just ticked another milestone off her bucket list! The 27-year-old Filipina artist was featured in the Recording Academy a.k.a. the Grammy's It Goes to 11 series! The online video series features both up-and-coming and established artists. These artists open up about the interesting and inspiring facts about their musical journeys.

On October 24, 2024, Maymay excitedly shared the news on her Instagram page. She started her caption with, "Waaaaaaaaaah! my heart bai!" Everybody FELT her happiness through her words. 

"I still couldn’t believe we made it to GRAMMY studio po. THANK YOU SO MUCH @recordingacademy for having me po, this is definitely one of my most unforgettable memories," she added. Her post included photos and videos of her posing in front of the Grammy studio—literally squealing over the fact that she's actually there!

Celebrities like Gary Valenciano (whom she mentioned in her feature), Eugene DomingoMelai Cantiveros-Francisco, and more, sent Maymay their congratulations and expressed how proud they are of the rising pop star.

Mr. Pure Energy, Gary V wrote, "Proud of you @maymay," and included lots of heart emojis. While the veteran actress-comedienne Eugene Domingo commented about Maymay's cuteness. She said, "cuteness overload!!"

And then there was Melai's comment which flaunted about their Bisaya heritage. "Congrats May grabe gyud si Lord bai Bisaya in international scene." Indeed, Maymay is making waves outside the Philippines, and everyone's so delighted for her.

Of course, we had to check out Maymay's episode on It Goes to 11. Maymay talked about how she discovered how to be a better singer with the help of her custom in-ear monitors. She recalled how she discovered the in-ear monitors through Gary V.

In the caption, The Recording Academy wrote, "Singer/songwriter, actress, and model Maymay Entrata reveals how custom in-ear monitors transformed her live vocal performance early in her career, helping her stay on-key during live shows. After consulting fellow artist Gary Valenciano, she learned that custom in-ear monitors would help her hear herself better on stage, so she could quickly correct her pitch."

Despite finding added confidence by using in-ear monitors, Maymay noted that there's no magic or shortcut to becoming a good singer. She points out the constant need for hard work, perseverance, and passion in music.

"I have the biggest realization that no magic or equipment will make you skip learning something that you want to pursue or something that you want to be passionate about. It will always take hard work, perseverance, and patience for you to have it, for you to learn it," she declared.

By the end of her episode in It Goes to 11, Maymay voiced out her goal as an artist. "I love to be a blessing to others, to be able to give inspiration to those people who listen to my songs," she said.

Maymay is known for her songs, "AMAKABOGERA," and "Tsada Mahigugma." Recently, aside from her journey as a musical artist, she's also begun exploring the fashion world, making her first runway walk during Paris Fashion Week! So happy for you, Maymay!
