Megan Young opens up about honing her social media image
In a podcast episode with her co-host and husband Mikael Daez, where they guested content creator Davao Conyo, Mikael shared how his wife blossomed into the well-rounded woman that she is now.

He said, “When she won Miss World, she was extremely conscious about how she looks, how she presented herself. Ayaw niya lumabas. She was like, ‘No wait, Fofo, I have to do my makeup for one hour.’ At first, I was okay with it. But it came to a point where I’m like, ‘Bonez, people already know you’re a beauty queen, so people know you look good. Now, the problem is when I look at your Instagram, I don’t know anything else about you.’”
Megan agreed, “Puro selfie, ganda-gandahan lang.”
Mikael continued, “That’s when she started playing games and posting about her games, her working out, and eating out again. Because I was like, ‘Bonez, if I’m a client, if I’m gonna give you work, I need to know something else about you. Para mabagay ko yung mga campaign ko sayo. And I think that’s something we consciously try to start and develop along the way.”
Davao had the funniest response to the kwento, though, “Ang sarap pala ng problema mo. Alam ng mga tao na maganda ka, so ano pa? Kasi yung iba baligtad, e. ‘Ang panget mo, paganda ka naman sa social media!’ Sarap ng problema. Sana all.”
