It's officially the rainy season for most of us in the Philippines. It entails the need for jackets, sweaters, umbrellas, and of course, some...heat. It seems Melai Cantiveros is feeling it too. The reality star-turned-host got funny and candid about her relationship with her husband Jason Francisco on her most recent Instagram post.
On July 22, 2024, as the Metro experienced nonstop torrential rains, Melai posted a quick video featuring her hubby and her personal rendition of Maki's "Dilaw" song. The original lyrics to it include the lines, "Mukhang delikado na naman ako. Oh, bakit ba kinikilig na naman ako?" But for Melai, she sang it like this: "Mukhang delikado na naman ako para bang mabubuntis na naman ako." LOL!
She captioned her IG post with an actual appreciation message for Jason, but still with the flirty and sexy undertone. She connects the rainy weather to possibly "making" another child with Jason—and we've all been LOL-ing. It's not just because Melai delivers it in the most comical way possible, but also because...girl, felt.
The rest of the post read, "Char lang. parang ganun kasi ang dating ng lyrics sa akin pag kinikilig ang isang Momshieng tulad ko hahahahahah. Celebrities React To Melai Cantiveros' Thirsty IG Post
Fans flocked to Melai's post and left happy and laughing reactions. Melai's post was totally unexpected but it was something that would lighten up the mood of anyone who comes across it on their social media feeds.
Everybody knows that Melai has an irresistible sense of humor and it shows in everything she does. Even her fellow celebrities can't deny how hilarious Melai can get. Celebs like Bianca Gonzales, Alexa Ilacad, and Donna Cariaga, commented and expressed their amused feelings over her post.
Donna kept it true and simple with her comment, "HAHAHAHAHA ATEEE." It was like a cry for help because she couldn't stop laughing because of Melai. Then there's Bianca who reacted with, "Shot shot shot shot shot shot!!!" Looks like an inside joke to us that aims to just add more fun vibes to Melai's humorous post.

Melai and Jason met in 2009 as housemates in the hit reality show Pinoy Big Brother. In 2023, their family received much love and support from netizens after their daughters' viral video about chicken nuggets. Melai also top-billed PULP Studios' first-ever movie, Ma'am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul, last year.
This 2024, the Melai became the honorary ambassador for family tourism for the Korea Tourism Organization. So from time to time, their family flies to South Korea to try different itineraries.
Melai also has a new YouTube interview series called Kuan On One. In the videos, her guests are celebrities who are Bisaya. They enthusiastically converse in their Bisaya languages. The series is gaining positive reviews as it gives other Philippine languages—aside from Tagalog—the spotlight and platform to also be represented in mainstream media.
