Describing it as a "cool feeling," Michael shares that most people joked this title would be the *one* thing he's probably NOT going to get: "But it's a good club to be a part of." If you can recall, he's following the footsteps of John Legend (2019) and Idris Elba (2018).
The secret to his confidence? Realizing that you can't please everybody. He tells PEOPLE, "You could have all the good intentions in the world, and you'll still get controversy or some type of negativity thrown your way. Sometimes you've just got to trust the universe, you know? You've got to just believe in yourself and do what you feel is really right. I think that adds up."
While there's no doubt that Michael is easy on the eyes, there are so many other things we find sexy about him. For instance, the actor has been a staunch supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. He also used his platform in the recent U.S. election. In 10 years, he hopes to direct and produce more.
