The Miss Universe 2024 fever is on. In two weeks, we will be introduced to a new batch of beauty queens who will surely sweep us off our feet, and judges who will showcase their expertise in choosing the next queen.
Among the 10 personalities included in Miss Universe 2024's selection committee is the distinguished Filipino designer Michael Cinco. The official Miss Universe organization announced it on their Instagram account with the caption, "Get ready for a dash of haute couture on the Miss Universe stage, @michaelcinco5 acclaimed designer of luxurious gowns for Hollywood's elite, joins the selection committee for the 73rd Miss Universe bringing his fashion expertise. Elegance and beauty will reign supreme!" The Dubai-based Filipino designer expressed his gratitude to the Miss Universe organization.

In a now-expired IG Story, he wrote (published as is), "Thank you, Miss Universe. Thank you, Lord. My Miss Universe journey began by dressing the extraordinary women who wore the crown -- each one embodying beauty, strength, and purpose. Today, I'm honored to take on a new role in this journey, helping to select the next inspiring queen."
ICYDK, Michael is the artist behind the gowns of notable Miss Universe queens, namely, Pia Wurtzbach, Demi Leigh Tebow, and Andrea Meza.
Miss Universe 2024: Candidates, Venue, Date
Michael will be joining the rich roster of star-studded and prominent judges including Miss Universe 1978 Margaret Gardiner, Lele Pons, Gianluca Vacchi, Camila Guiribitey, Eva Cavalli, and more. They will be the judging panel for the Miss Universe coronation night to be held on November 16, 2024 (November 17 in the Philippines).
Over 80 beauty queens are participating in the competition that will take place at the Arena CDMX in Mexico. The candidates have begun arriving in Mexico and preparing for their bout. One of those is Miss Universe 2024 Philippines titleholder Chelsea Manalo.

In a recent interview, Chelsea noted that she's 9 out of 10 prepared for her upcoming bout in Mexico."I still do feel 9 out of 10. Siguro 'yung one percent na lang talaga is leaving that to the Filipino people, the fans, the support, 'coz I know I have a lot but if we all come together not just here in the Philippines but anywhere in the universe na mga Filipinos who will be there to still support me and cheer for me in Mexico, then we will be at our 100 pa not just 10 percent."
