The heavens just gained another angel. Michelle Trachtenberg sadly passed away at the age of 39. As the world copes with her death, celebrities express their heartfelt messages for the actress.
Michelle captured hearts in Hollywood as a teen star n childhood Nickelodeon shows. Her stardom continued as she landed roles in unforgettable series and films from the late '90s to the early 2000s—one of those being one of our faves, Gossip Girl. Michelle played everyone's designated frenemy, Georgina Sparks.
Her former co-stars from Gossip Girl like Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, and Blake Lively shared their sentiments over Michelle's passing on Instagram. Chace, who played Nate Archibald, posted a couple of photos with Michelle on his Instagram with a caption that showed how much he respects the actress.
Chace wrote on Instagram, "Michelle was one of a kind. I remember her coming on set for the first time and just absolutely owning it. She was a force of nature and just so so unapologetically funny and magnetic.. remembering those years with a big smile. Just a terrible loss. Love you."

Ed, who played the ever-so-charming Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl posted a shot of Michelle playing Georgina. On his Instagram Story, Ed sent his condolences with, "So sad to hear the passing of @michelletrachtenberg. Sending prayers."

Blake played opposite Michelle as the influential Serena van der Woodsen in the teen drama. On Instagram, Blake looked back on the first day that she met Michelle. "She was electricity. You knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed. Everything she did, she did 200%," she began.
The It Ends With Us lead star described exactly how she remembered Michelle. Blake detailed, "She was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes. She was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved. She was big and bold and distinctively herself. And she always had yummy caramel-smelling lip gloss on because she didn't want to just sparkle on camera, she liked creating a nice experience for anyone who was in her orbit."
She added, "She was a kind person through and through."

Michelle Trachtenberg's films and series
Michelle was supposed to turn 40 on October 11 this year. She started her career before her 20s when she joined Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Following that, she got roles in influential films that cemented her path in Hollywood namely, Harriet The Spy, Inspector Gadget, and more.
It was in 2008 when she joined the cast of Gossip Girl. But even before that, she already made a name for herself because of the teen drama series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer together with Sarah Michelle Gellar in 2000 until 2003.
And who could forget Michelle in the Ice Princess (2005)? Michelle played Casey Carlyle, who passionately pursued her dream to be a figure skater instead of studying at Harvard.
Let's make sure Michelle's role in 17 Again (2009) stays on our radar, too. She played the role of Zac Efron's daughter in the heartwarming film. Years later, Michelle's last project was hosting the true-crime documentary called, Meet, Marry, Murder in 2021.
