Make way for Mimiyuuuh's newest vlog, you guys. After months of being out and about without a joint vlog with anyone, the YouTube star is back with one of the Internet's most-loved personalities at the moment: Filipino Olympic pole vaulter EJ Obiena.
Due to popular demand, Cosmopolitan Philippines cover girl Mimiyuuuh and EJ came out together in a vlog—just the two of them. It was such a hilarious and ~informative~ one, in the sense that everyone got to know EJ better as they answered questions using a lie detector machine. They talked about all sorts of topics from their love life, their ideal type, and their thoughts about each other.
But before anything else, you should know that it was not the first time that the two met. In fact, their first Internet appearance together was during a vlog with their mutual friend, volleyball athlete Alyssa Valdez—and a certain clip of Mimiyuuuh getting kilig over EJ in that specific 2023 vlog went viral just recently.
EJ Obiena on being the 'pambansang jowa'
Now, why did it become viral? ICYDK, EJ is now being tagged as the nation's boyfriend, a.k.a the pambansang jowa. It might have been a domino effect of more people discovering him after his Paris 2024 stint. But as Mimiyuuuh explained the reason for EJ's pambansang jowa tag, "I think 'yung mga classification and characteristics mo pasok sa pagiging jowa ng everyone. Matangkad, mabait, sporty, matalino—I think 'yun 'yung mga meron ka."
It seemed that EJ first heard about the pambansang jowa label from Mimiyuuuh. Is he okay with people calling him that? For him, well, it's not a bad thing. "I don't mind. It's not like a bad thing. I think it's okay," the athlete told Mimiyuuuh.
The content creator then remarked, "Tsaka parang hindi naman ibig sabihin na tinanggap mo 'yun, eh mayabang ka na. I think talaga 'yung mga type ng mga Filipinos, matangkad, chinito, moreno, eh talagang nasayo Sir EJ. Nasa'yo na ang lahat~" Then she went on belting out the song Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat, while making EJ smile from ear to ear.
Admittedly, Mimiyuuuh revealed that her ultimate type in a romantic partner, when it comes to looks, is someone who's moreno. "Mine na 'yan..." she jokingly said during their vlog. (Calling all morenos, Mimiyuuuh's ready for you!)

NGL, our jaws hurt as we found ourselves smiling all throughout Mimiyuuuh's vlog with (Sir) EJ. It was really fun seeing Mimiyuuuh exchange—or at least attempt to exchange—witty banter as she gets flustered with EJ's answers.
One question that had us all laughing was when Mimiyuuuh asked, "May chance ba tayo?" And EJ quickly responded, "As a friend, for sure." LOL! He's that straightforward. But of course, Mimiyuuuh laughed and appreciated the fact that EJ is cool with being friends with her.
With the chemistry the two exuded during their lie detector challenge, fans are clamoring for a second vlog again! In one of the comments on her YouTube vlog, an online user seriously requested, "Next vlog: trying pole vaulting with Ej." Such a challenging vlog, but we'll see if Mimiyuuuh would take this request.
Another said, "Magjowa for a day with EJ naman next pleaseeeee! The chemistry!" Well, why not, right? We're also signing up for that kind of vlog. We'll be waiting, for sure.
