We have a new queen of the universe and she is Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark! She got crowned by Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua as the 73rd Miss Universe at the CDMX Arena in Mexico on November 17. Victoria bested 126 other candidates, the largest number of delegrates to compete so far.
Victoria is the first queen to don the Light of Infinity crown by Jewelmer, the crown sponsor to the 73rd and 74th Miss Universe. Also known as the Lumière de l'Infini, it is the first Filipino-made crown in the pageant's long history. For the first time ever, she will also get to host the new Miss Universe travel show as part of slew of her prizes.

Answering the final question, "Miss Universe has inspired generations of women. What do you want to say to the ones watching you right now?" Victoria emphasized on reclaiming your narrative. "My message to all the world that are watching out there is, no matter where you come from, no matter your past, you can always choose to turn it into your strengths. It will never define who you are, you just gotta keep fighting. I stand here today because I wanna change. I wanna make history. And that's what I'm doing tonight." she said.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Chidimma Adetshina is this edition's first runner-up. Also part of the runners-up were Thailand, Mexico, and Venezuela. In case you missed it, Miss Universe South Africa Mia Le Roux and Miss Universe Panama Italy Mora withdrew from the competition ahead of the pageant's final.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo finished her journey to the crown as part of the Top 30, keeping up a new semi-final streak started by Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee. Michelle ended her bid in the Top 10 of her edition. On Instagram, Chelsea shared her supposed final evening gown by Bulacan-based designer Manny Halasan.
Unlike the past edition, next year's host country had not yet been revealed. Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and American actor and television host Mario Lopez were the night's main hosts. They were joined by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and American TV personality and host Zuri Hall, who returned as backstage correspondents and are both in their third year.
