1. Victoria's victory is the first for Denmark!
Victoria Kjær Theilvig made history as the first-ever Miss Universe from Denmark. It is also their first placement in the top five in 61 years. In this way, Victoria's win is similar to that of Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios. Sheynnis was also the first Nicaraguan to be crowned as Miss Universe.
2. She won against 126 delagates.
Victoria is on a roll with making history! Victoria competed at the Miss Universe 2024 competition at the Arena CDMX in Mexico. This edition featured the most number of delegates in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. That means so far, Victoria is the Miss Universe who won against the most number of competitors.

3. She is the first Miss Universe to wear the Light of Infinity crown
Victoria is also the first Miss Universe to wear the Jewelmer Light of Infinity crown. Like Victoria who is the first Miss Universe from Denmark, it is the first-ever Filipino-made crown in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. By winning the crown, Victoria made history not once or twice, but thrice!

4. She is 21 years old.
Victoria is among the younger candidates of the competition, competing in the age of 21. She celebrated her birthday on November 13. This was also the day the new Light of Infinity crown was unveiled. Could this have been an early sign that the crown was made for Victoria?

5. She formerly competed in Miss Grand International.
Among the many things a candidate can expect from a pageant is the sisterhood that comes along with it. And Victoria's Miss Grand International 2022 sisters were super supportive of her. Victoria shared some of their well wishes on her Instagram stories. Victoria ended her Miss Grand International journey in the top 21. Victoria also cutely shared that her journey in pageantry began when she was five years old when she used to watch the Miss Universe competition. As soon as she turned 17, she recalls that she immediately joined her first pageant, the Miss Denmark competition.
6. She was a former professional dancer.
One look at her Instagram will immediately show that Victoria is a former professional dancer. (It says so in her bio!) And it really shows in her stride.

7. She's a mental health advocate.
Victoria is a mental health advocate. This may come from the fact that she shared she comes from a dysfunctional family with members who suffer from drug addiction. She bravely added that the background she came from contributed to her trauma and that she has gone through sexual abuse.
For Victoria, she had worked so much on herself following these struggles and this only made her stronger. This is why, for Victoria, the message she wants to spread is "that there is always a new day tomorrow. You don't let your past define the person you are and the person you want to be. You can always choose to take the next day and turn it into something positive." She adds, "Also, you can choose to let your past and your background turn into a positive thing because if you haven't been through all this stuff you have, [you] wouldn't be standing here today as strong as you are."
Apart from mental health, Victoria shared she also does voluntary work at their local sports association and supports their local animal shelter. She is a big animal welfare advocate and she shares this in her "Voice for Change" entry.

8. She is a Business and Marketing degree holder!
At 21, Victoria has a degree in both Business and Marketing. She shared this in her Miss Universe "Road to the Crown" video. She is an entrepreneur with her own business, too! As for her aspirations, she wants to be a lawyer.
