If there’s any lesson to be learned, it is this: do not ever—under any circumstances—come for the Internet’s President Nadine Lustre. Because, boy, does she know how to put critics in their rightful place.
To further prove this truth, Nadz took to Twitter to express her disgust over a self-proclaimed motivational speaker’s tirades against her, calling her “mahina ang utak” and even threatening to physically hurt her.
The whole thing started when a certain tabloid published a story about Nadine’s interview in line with the recent flak about volleyball star Deanna Wong and her alleged snubbing incident with fans. In the video, which was aired one year ago, Nadine was quoted talking about how celebrities are not obliged “to please everyone” but to “provide entertainment.”
Visibly bothered by the incident, Nadine cried foul at the publication on her Twitter account, providing a link to the full video of the viral interview for context. “Nood muna kasi bago mag-react. Wala namang issue, for the clickbait na lang talaga eh,” also adding, “I’d be gagged if they don’t make an article on this tweet.”
She also clarified, “I hope y’all watch this video, so you see the whole picture. This interview was last year and is NOT a response or comment to Deanna Wong.”

Twitter/Hello_NadineHowever, the said article wasn't taken down—igniting negative comments from netizens, including influencer Rendon Labador. On Facebook, he snapped, “Mahina ang utak ni Nadine Lustre, typical na ganda lang pero sabaw pala.”
Facebook/Rendon LabadorHis post garnered mixed reactions from netizens, with Nadine's fans coming to the actress' defense. One fired back, “Dapat sa vlogger na ‘to bina-block ng FB puro puna daig pa ang pulis kung makapuna haha.” To which, Rendon had a tasteless reply: “Wasak yang idol mo sakin, wait lang.”
He also responded to another follower who asked “Malapit na din bang masampal?”: “Depende sa gusto ninyo, vote now.”
The said tirades reached Nadine, who reposted screenshots and captioned them with a grimacing emoji, which covers a range of negative emotions, including disapproval and disgust.
Twitter/Hello_NadineNadine’s fans expressed their support for the actress, even urging her to sue Rendon. One told her, “Sue him, @hello_nadine! Do not let him threaten to slap and “wasak” a woman and get away with it. His misogynist followers are encouraging and enabling him. Give them a reason they won’t forget.”
Twitter/Hello_NadineAs of writing, Nadine has yet to comment further about the issue or state whether she's pursuing legal steps against Rendon.
