We know it's not just us talking when we say that we're definitely still on a high from Olivia Rodrigo's October 5 Manila stop of her GUTS World Tour. The 21-year-old Fil-Am singer-songwriter recently posted an email newsletter to her fans detailing her experience playing at her first hometown show at the Philippine Arena, which incidentally, is also her *biggest* show to date. ICYDK: The venue can seat up to 55,000 people, making it the largest indoor arena in the world—and the one-night-only show was completely sold out!
Olivia Rodrigo Pens Letter For Pinoy Fans After GUTS Manila Concert
In Olivia's letter dedicated to Pinoy Livies (the fandom name of Olivia's fans), she wrote that she wanted to take a second to express her gratitude to everyone who attended her sold-out show in the Philippines' capital.
"Hello!!! I just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who attended my show in Manila. It was my first time in the Philippines and the biggest venue I've ever played!" she began. She continued: "I'm so proud of my Filipino heritage and it was so meaningful to get to experience all the love and warmth from the Filipino fans."
ICYDK, Olivia has never shied away from her Pinoy roots. She always stated in previous interviews how much she wanted to perform in the Philippines and how her household still practiced Pinoy family traditions. V cute! "I had the most fun singing with you guys and I will remember that night for the rest of my life. I'm so, so beyond thankful. Mahal kita," she concluded.

She also attached pictures from her short Manila trip, including a picture of her wearing a "Miss So Filipina" sash—a play on her song "so american"—during her concert, a snap from her Intramuros day trip, and photos from when she visited the local non-profit organization that her concert supported.

What happened at the Manila leg of Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS World Tour?
Olivia arrived in Manila on the night of October 3 with her dad, Chris, and her boyfriend, Louis Partridge, so she could explore some local sights and experience Pinoy food. In fact, on her first night in the country, she immediately bought some halo-halo!
Some Pinoy Livies were also lucky enough to spot Olivia and Louis hanging out in Intramuros and even got to take pictures and videos with the singer! We're SO jealz??
Another one of Olivia's pitstops during her downtime before the concert was to spend some time with Jhpiego, a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to uplifting and supporting women's and children's lives and healthcare across the world. ICYWC, all the proceeds from the ticketing sales of Olivia's Manila concert went directly to the non-profit org through Fund 4 Good, her "global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all women, girls, and people seeking reproductive health freedom."
Missin' you already, pinsan!
