Celebrities are also humans. Some still get rejected by the person they like—or in other words, "ma-basted." Patrick Garcia admitted that this scenario happened in his life. And the girl who rejected him? It was none other than Anne Curtis.
As if getting turned down by the girl he likes was not bad enough, Patrick noted that Anne was the *first* girl to push him away. He divulged this during a Fast Talk with Boy Abunda episode.
Boy Abunda asked him, "Unang nambasted sa'yo?" To which, Patrick quickly answered with, "Anne Curtis."
Patrick could've spilled more beans about the revelation, but he chose to be more discreet about it. Although, he mentioned that everything happened during the late '90s. "Matagal na 'to. Mga 1999 pa 'to. Ngayon ko lang sinabi 'to. Sorry, guys," he said.
At the time, both celebrities were rising teen stars. In 2005, the two acted alongside each other in the iconic fantasy teleserye Kampanerang Kuba. Patrick portrayed Anne's love interest in the show, Luke Tennyson.

While they may not have crossed to dating territory, the two maintained a low-key friendship.
In 2017, Patrick unearthed a throwback photo of Anne who was seen holding a photo of Patrick. He even posted it on Instagram with the caption, "Natawa ako dito @annecurtissmith."
Anne responded to Patrick, detailing that the photo was taken way before her showbiz career started. She even told Patrick that she was his crush back then! "Oooooooooh my gooooooooosh!!!! @chekakramer 'di pa ako artista dito! [...] Alam na this! Ikaw ang tweens crush ko!!!! Hi @nikkamgarcia," Anne enthusiastically commented.
At present, Patrick is married to Nikka Garcia and they have four kids together. While Anne is a wife to Erwan Heussaff and a mother to Dahlia.
