Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was recently in Indonesia as she served as one of the judges for Puteri Indonesia, a pageant that chooses the country’s representative to the Miss Universe Pageant.
On Instagram, Pia expressed her gratitude towards the Indonesian people. She wrote: “I’m so happy I finally got to experience Puteri Indonesia. This was long overdue!”
The beauty queen shared how much she loves the country as she added: “I’ve always loved Indonesia. My very first trip as Miss Universe was to Jakarta and Bali and it was unforgettable. The only time I ever cried because I didn’t want to leave! I’ve always felt the love and appreciation of the pageant lovers in Indonesia. Terima Kasih.”
Pia said that she was very happy to meet “amazing and inspiring women” during the pageant. She wrote: “I have to admit, once in a while, it’s nice to go back into pageant mode again.”
Pia also got to meet Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi as the beauty queens posed for photos together.
In an Instagram post, the reigning Miss Universe wrote: “I also ran into the beautiful queen @piawurtzbach Miss Universe 2015 and we acted silly, here [are] photos to prove it.”
Pia, who is also a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador since 2017, visited Puskesmas Jatinegara, a primary healthcare center in Jakarta where she met with health workers and HIV patients.
