A netizen recently went viral for her ~*uncanny*~ resemblance to one of the portraits in the National Museum.
Veronica Balayo visited the museum and came across the portrait of Belen Ocampo, the mother of renowned Filipino historian Ambeth Ocampo. What she didn't expect was that the photo would look exactly like her! She posted a slideshow of her posing beside the picture with the caption: "Am I her reincarnation?"

In an interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon Digital, Veronica admitted that she actually didn't know who the woman in the picture was. As a matter of fact, it was actually her *first* time visiting the National Museum!
"It was actually my first time to visit [National Museum] because I'm from Davao City," she shared.
"We were just casually looking and appreciating all the artworks. Actually, [joke joke] ko lang talaga yun na parang ako, but after seeing the photo, sinabi ko sa officemate ko, 'bakit parang ako?!'"
She continued: "Kumbaga sa dami namang art pieces sa museum, dun pa ako napadpad. I think it was an immediate reaction like very quick realization na parang hawig ko siya and after that I can’t stop looking at our photo."
"I’m even wondering if this is my second life pero I feel so honored that they are [saying] that it’s like reincarnation because Belen Ocampo is such a fine woman," she concluded.
Looking at the photos side by side, we can *definitely* see the resemblance. Veronica and Belen both share similar brow shapes and eyes, as well as their full cheeks and smiles. Netizens also spotted the likeness and flooded Veronica's comments:
"Hala! Parang copy-paste. Maybe reincarnation is true," commented one netizen, to which Veronica replied, "what if[?]"
Netizens were shocked by their similarities and couldn't help but wonder if ~*reincarnation*~ is an actual thing.
Ambeth Ocampo Reacts To Viral Lookalike Of His Mom
As of writing, Veronica's TikTok has garnered over 12.8 million views and 1.4 million likes. Her post had gone so viral that it even caught the attention of Ambeth Ocampo himself! He posted screenshots of her video on his official Facebook page.
"Trending on Tiktok video this morning was the post of Veronica Balayo, a recent visitor to the National Museum who resembles a photo-oleo of my mother from the 1950s! The video has earned over 400,000 likes!" he wrote.
