Rachel Peters and Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis "Migz" Villafuerte have decided to postpone their wedding.
Rachel's announcement came on the heels of the government's stricter implementation of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, March 15, Rachel shared a video of her raising her middle finger to express how she feels about the current COVID-10 outbreak.
In the caption, the 28-year-old former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder wrote:
"How I feel about this virus. Canceled wedding (for now), all businesses suffering, and millions of people terrified of where this is headed and how to keep their loved ones safe."
She did not mention the date of her would-have-been wedding.
Rachel also reminded her Instagram followers to be "extra cautious."
She said: "Every single one of us is affected and we're in this together.
"Use this time to reflect on what matters most in life—our health, family, and friends [heart emoji] Stay healthy, hydrated, and mindful.
"And get some sun while you're at it too [heart emoji]."
Rachel announced her engagement to Migz through an Instagram post on November 10, 2019.
Flaunting her engagement ring, Rachel wrote, "Your girls getting hitched! [ring emoji]."
Rachel and Migz have been together for over five years.
They celebrated their fifth anniversary on July 16, 2019, in Kenya, a country in East Africa.
