Are you curious just yet? Here are some more reasons to put Mokkoji Kitchen on your Korean web drama watchlist:

It's like a mukbang and K-drama rolled into one.
Since this web drama is food-themed, every episode showcases mouthwatering Korean food that will have you craving whatever Ro In and Moo Young are eating and cooking at the time. They also describe the taste and ingredients of the food which makes the viewers imagine the taste of the dish they are eating. From Korean foodie favorites like tteokbeokki (stir-fried rice cakes), fried chicken, and bibimbap (mixed rice with meat and vegetables) to Korean fusion dishes like tteok-galbi (beef patties made with minced beef short rib meat) and sujeonggwa (traditional cinnamon punch with frozen persimmon). A word of warning: Don't watch this at night or you'll hear your stomach rumbling before you go sleep! Or better yet, order some Korean food and eat that while watching this web drama.CONTINUE READING BELOW ↓watch now
YouTube/Mokkoji Korea - It's shorter than a movie!
Mokkoji Kitchen has nine episodes with a little over eight minutes per episode only. Altogether, it runs for one hour and 18 minutes. You can watch it in one sitting like after dinner or before you go to sleep. Due to the short duration of the episode, the story progresses quite fast, but it doesn't feel too rushed because the plot is very simple and straightforward. It's a comforting, feel-good web drama that will make your day just a little bit brighter. No complicated theories and emotions to unpack. No scenes where you have to hold your breath awaiting what happens next. You can just watch this to de-stress after a long day. And then sleep with a smile because of how adorable the couple is. Plus, the second leads are quite endearing, too.

It's absolutely relatable.
We've all been there at least once in our lives. Watching Ro In develop a crush on handsome chef Lee Moo Young and then gets confused about his feelings for her will pinch your heart a little. At times, Moo Young seems to be too good to be true. He is handsome, kind, and a good cook, and he has his own restaurant. Hello, ideal guy! Meanwhile, Ro In is a graduating student applying for a job in the food industry. She is kind of lost and unsure about her career path. But she's the happiest when she eats sumptuous food.

It will remind you of simple life lessons.
What's endearing about this web drama is that even though it has short episodes, it's still able to infuse small reminders about life that will make you think and reflect. Ro In teaching her friend Dong Min about being considerate of Na Ri's feelings will remind you to see things from another person's perspective. Moo Young empathizing with Ro In's struggles with her future career path and giving her realistic advice to just live life day by day (because soon, those feelings will pass and she will move forward) will make you feel like he is giving you advice as well. Of course, for those who love to cook, you will definitely be able to pick up some cooking tips and tricks all throughout the series.ADVERTISMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW ↓
