Rewind, a film top-billed by Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, may have no accolades at the recent Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 Gabi ng Parangal, but public praise continues to pour in.
Star Cinema recently hailed the film's cast as the "Greatest Love ng Tao," emphasizing the remarkable impact they've left on audiences despite not clinching any trophies.
“MARAMING SALAMAT SA GREATEST LOVE NIYO! Congratulations to our amazing cast and creators for bringing the #RewindExperience to life,” the film production company said in an Instagram post.
Rewind has been praised for its poignant storytelling of a husband who lost his wife in a car accident. Social media reviews said the film resonated deeply with viewers, touching hearts and provoking thought long after the curtains fell.

Earlier reviews showed celebrities like Angeline Quinto, Alexa Ilacad, among others, still crying after watching the film. Despite the absence of official recognition, Star Cinema recognized the enduring mark Rewind has made in depicting human emotions and the complexities of relationships.

Though there is no official ticket sales data as of posting, PEP.ph reported that Rewind already earned P68 million for the first two days of showing. It likely garnered more sales, with cinemas in some malls showing that tickets were already sold out.
The film director, Mae Cruz Alviar, meanwhile heaped praises on Marian Rivera, who is working with Star Cinema for the first time in her career.
“May mga drama din naman si Yan dati at may husay na talaga siya…like fine wine, she got better pa in time,” she said in an Instagram story, while responding to a fan.
The Rewind Film’s trailer has logged over 700,000 views on the YouTube platform.
