Rhian Ramos faced the scrutiny of the internet after she was *accused* of using a fake Hermes bag. Last February 28, the actress shared photos of her look during an Estee Lauder event, where she was wearing a nude dress with a reptilian-skin handbag.
Fashion-centric Instagram account that goes by the name The Fake Birkin Slayer reposted the GMA talent's photo on their account, with an emoji implying that they were eyeing the designer bag.
This prompted netizens to flood Rhian with questions about her bag. Some users already made the conclusion that she was using a "fake bag," as corroborated by The Fake Birkin Slayer's reshare of her post.
The 32-year-old's arm candy has a similar silhouette and hardware to that of an Hermes Kelly. Its small frame birthed assumptions that it was supposedly a mini version of the designer piece.
Upon being aware of the allegations, however, Rhian set the record straight in a separate comment. "I'm pretty sure I don't magically have the only exisiting mini Kelly (?) Birkin (?) in white/gray python," she wrote, then further clarifies that her bag is actually from Buti Italia, a luxury brand that produces carry-alls from Italy.
One netizen continued to interrogate Rhian, asking why Corso Como 88, a licensed distributor of designer wear in the Philippines, was tagged in her photo. She replied that it was because the bag was gifted by the retailer, which they supported with a statement of their own.
One user called out the comments brazenly *shaming* Rhian without verifying their claims. "She's not posing to look like she has a Birkin. Just miscommunication on where it was bought from," they wrote.
The actress then puts the issue to rest, telling her critics, "may your titties be calmed." LOL!
Upon checking their official website, Buti Italia does, in fact, have the exact piece Rhian was using, named the Olivia 26.
