Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo are now parents to their first baby! The 42-year-old actor shared the happy news on his Instagram Story, exciting all their friends, family, and of course, their fans.
As a first-time dad, Zanjoe's happiness was evident enough in his IG Story. He uploaded a video of him walking along the hospital walls with two beds in front of him—one for Ria, and the other one showing a newborn baby. Zanjoe put the caption, "09.23.24" signifying the date of their baby's birth.
Our ever-excited Lola, Sylvia Sanchez, shared Zanjoe's IG Story on her Instagram too! The first-time grandmother said, "Thank you LORD! Lola na ako!!! Yahooo!!! My heart is full. Congratulations @ria and @onlyzanjoemarudo."
Now if you're curious about Ria and Zanjoe's firstborn there was also a surprise baby shower held for Ria last July, just in time for Zanjoe's birthday.
The couple has yet to reveal details about their baby's gender at the moment. But fans who watched their baby shower clips and spotted their photos think they're expecting a boy. PEP.ph also reported today that Ria gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Before giving birth, Ria and Zanjoe have been posting about their preparations for parenthood, and we're all here for the first-time parent feels that they happily share with their followers. Ria even shared a clip of her working out as a preggy mom, inspiring others to try it as well.
She captioned in her Instagram reel, "Moving during pregnancy prepares me for birth and allows me to bounce back quicker post-natal. Modified SRT, Pilates and strength training on rotation — working out 4-5 times a week — have all been helping me feel a semblance of ownership of my body in spite of all the changes and beautiful things going on inside of me."
Ria declared how she remains open and accepting of how much change her body undergoes because of pregnancy. "Doing all of this has helped me stay kind to myself knowing that I'm doing my part in making sure I'm healthy and ready for this bb and next chapter. The biggest I've been for sure but also the happiest and kindest I've been to myself," she wrote.

It was in 2022 when the dating rumors began for the now-married couple. Zanjoe first confirmed their relationship in 2023. And then, almost a year after confirming their relationship, the two said yes to forever ;)
Ria announced the happy news on her Instagram with the caption, "Forever sounds good," followed by a white heart and engagement ring emoji. That was in February 2024.

A month after they announced their engagement, Ria and Zanjoe surprised everyone with their marriage news! It was Zanjoe who uploaded the sweetest wedding pics, with the caption, "Happy birthday MY WIFE." The two had a very simple civil wedding with just their closest friends and family.
