This is not a drill! After months of speculation, it’s finally official: Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo are now dating! The good news was confirmed by none other than the actress' mother Sylvia Sanchez in an interview. “Nung huli, sabi saken dating. Pero hindi pa talaga sila,” she tells reporter MJ Marfori.
She also clears that while the two are romantically linked, there’s no truth to other rumors, such as Ria’s alleged pregnancy and ~secret~ civil union. “Kaya nga natatawa ako dun sa mga lumalabas na buntis, nagpakasal... Hello? Ako muna makaka-alam noh. Ako po nanay.”
Whispers of an alleged romance between the two started after they were photographed dining with some friends in New York, as well as being spotted on a couple of vacations with their good friends Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
Neither Ria nor Zanjoe has spoken up about the rumors so far, but given the actress' mom confirming their relationship status, it's safe to conclude that we have a brewing romance to look forward to.
