We just got some details about Ryan Bang and Paola Huyong's upcoming wedding—and we're every bit excited about it.
Talking on the sidelines during the GMA Gala 2024, Ryan happily entertained some questions about his relationship with Paola. ICYMI, the two announced their engagement at the end of June. The news surely delighted their fans, friends, and of course, their family.

We asked about their wedding plans and Ryan admitted that they're actively discussing the nitty-gritty of their marriage ceremony. But what Ryan is sure of is that their "main wedding" will be held here in the Philippines.
"Nag-uusap pa po kami pero main wedding will be here in Manila. Gusto po talaga namin magpakasal here," Ryan revealed. Moreover, he shared that his father will be flying to the Philippines for the first time just for his wedding. Indeed, it will be a special occasion for Ryan's family.
The 33-year-old comedian-host narrated, "'Yung tatay ko, never siyang sumakay ng eroplano. Pero [for the] first time sasakay siya. Kasi takot siya sa turbulence eh. Pero sa kasal ko, pupunta siya sa Manila for the first time [...] Dapat pala magpakasal na ako para makasakay ng eroplano tatay ko."
Ryan was also open to sharing that a Korean marriage ceremony might also happen for both of them. Since they are still discussing more details—no assurance yet for the Korean one—but if ever, Ryan thinks it will be a very small wedding only if held in Korea.
"Magkakaroon din ng Korean wedding, pero very small wedding lang. Pero gusto ko talaga 'yung main wedding here sa Philippines. Pero hindi pa sure, nag-uusap pa kami. Pero sure 'yung wedding ko here in Manila," he noted.

Ryan publicly introduced his girlfriend during the opening night of one of his restaurants, Paldo, in February 2024. It was also the night when he revealed in an interview with ABS-CBN that he met Paola during a soccer match. And it was because of an alleged Airdrop malfunction that led him to ask for Paola's number back then!
So, we were curious: when did Ryan know he wanted to settle down with Paola? It's love at first sight for Ryan, you guys. It may seem cheesy to some, but Ryan had that "slow-mo" moment with Paola, and it was enough for him to plan out his life with her.
"Dati hindi ako naniniwala na spotlight, na slow-mo. Pero yung pelikula dito, ganoon ano? Totoo pala... [Noong] first time ko siya na-meet may slow-mo talaga. First time ko ma-experience 'yung tadhana," he shared.
Moreover, he continued to share that more than the happy moments, he realized wants to be with Paola during those times when they were going through a tough time as a couple. He said, the "down" moments really made him decide to be with Paola for life.
"'Yung relationship namin up and down. Minsan hindi natin maiiwasan 'yung away. Minsan masaya, pero 'nung nasa down kami, alam ko na, gusto ko siya talagang maging asawa ko," Ryan declared.
Just last month, Ryan and Paola announced their engagement. Ryan did it in front of Paola's family. He popped the question and gave Paola a rose bouquet. It came with the loveliest message that read, "Mi Amor, Thank you [for] saying 'YES.' Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. From your soon to be Husband"
Days before their engagement news, Ryan actually uploaded a YouTube vlog showing that both of their families had already met—and in South Korea, no less!. At the time, we had no inkling that it was the official meeting of families.
Ryan shared the happy moment on his Instagram account and how delighted he was about their families meeting each other. What made the moment more special for him was that it was the first time in a while that he had dinner with both of his parents.
Ryan openly mentioned that his parents separated back in 2005, admitting that it was one of the reasons why he wanted to start anew in the Philippines. "Year 2005 [ang] isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit ako nagpunta ng Philippines ay dahil naghiwalay yung parents ko," he began in his caption.
